If you want to run both versions side by side (maybe to finish up a current project in version 2), or import your Scrivener 2 preferences (many, but not all, of them will copy over), check out L&L's upgrade guide. This will not delete your Scrivener projects. ![]() NOTE: If you currently have Scrivener 2 installed, Literature & Latte recommends that you delete Scrivener 2 before downloading Scrivener 3. (And for a fantastic app at such a good price, I think they should get to keep it all.) Installing Scrivener directly from Literature & Latte's website is not quite a simple as installing via the App Store, but I think it's worth it, especially since it means Literature & Latte keeps more of the money. (For more info, check out this post on Literature & Latte's support site.) While Apple makes installing from the App Store very easy, it forces you to take extra steps to get upgrade discounts, doesn't allow access to the 30-use free trial, may prevent certain features from working, and sometimes delays Scrivener updates. To do that, you have two choices: Installing it from the Mac App Store, or installing it directly from Literature & Latte's website. ![]() If you don't already have Scrivener 3 on your Mac, you'll need to download and install it. ![]() Back to: Scrivener 3 Fundamentals for Mac
